1. Confirm eligibility of your bags

Only single-use PP bags purchased from participating retailers after 1 October 2024 are eligible for the program. For ease of verification, check that the bag's weave is visible and that it meets the eligibility criteria. Visit our eligible bags webpage to see which retail stores are part of the program.

2. Ensure bags are clean and empty

Before bringing your bags to a collection site, ensure they are completely clean and empty. Shake out all residue, bags with residue cannot be accepted, as cleanliness is critical for the recycling process.

4. Neatly roll or fold bags

Prepare your bags for transport by rolling or folding them neatly. This step ensures efficient handling, transportation, and storage at the collection site, while also making it easier for you to transport your bags.

By following these simple steps, you’ll help streamline the recycling process and contribute to a more sustainable agricultural future.
